- Start it online: Well, Internet is there, so no need to go straight to a dealership to buy a car! Once you get to buy a car online you would realize how much more you pay whenever you walk into a dealership lot. Every sales person on the lot thinks about a fat commission at your expense, but this is of course not illegal. Because, their job is to sell you a car at the highest price possible. As opposed to it, your intention is to spend as little as possible on your car. So, this time try it online!
- Do the homework online: Right from researching to reviewing the specifications to checking reviews of the car you are considering to buy, do all this online. Car reviews give buyers reliability opinions based upon lots of testing. Besides, check customer satisfaction and owner reviews, and then decide on a model. Also every brand has its own website, so you can visit the respective brand site of the car you are contemplating.
- Choose one dealer to demonstrate the product: No need to visit every dealer. Just pick one dealer and call them up and inform when you are planning to visit them. When you visit them, have them demo the car. But, be particular about the thing that if it is not the car on the ebid, do not consider buying it. Never buy a car from a dealer when they say they will have to get it from another dealer. The ebid should have a vin number, so make sure it is the same car!
- Consider buying a car on the last day of the month: You must be wondering, why? Well, because at midnight of the last day of the month the dealer pays interest on every car on their lot, which is called a floor plan.
