European manufacturers are all set to launch their first hybrid car in the Mercedes Benz category. Mercedes Benz is all set to launch its Mercedes Benz S400 Blue Hybrid car in the coming year 2010. Blue Hybrid is a complete luxury sedan and is the most fuel efficient vehicle produced till date by any manufacturer. It is not a full but mild hybrid car by Mercedes Benz as it doesn’t run alone on electric power to move ahead.

It would be the first hybrid car in the world that would include lithium ion cells in the battery instead of the nickel metal hydride that is generally used in the hybrid cars.
