As long as the present scenario is concerned, we can say that the days of  $4-a-gallon gasoline are gone, at least for now. Today the nation-wide price of gasoline is $3.81-a-gallon, as confirmed by AAA, of Heathrow, Fla. The current price is dropped by 16 cents in a week  The survey that was done by AAA is based on data, collected from as many as 85,000 filling stations nationwide.
 
Midgrade unleaded is selling the gasoline for $3.97-a-gallon, down 37 cents of the original price. The price of Diesel dropped by 27 cents from a month ago, to $4.53-a-gallon.
 
“Mid-grade was $4.13-a-gallon, and premium $4.24-a-gallon. That’s according to the Survey done by Lundberg on the basis of 7,000 gas stations nationwide,” The Associated Press reported yesterday.

 
“But consumers shouldn’t get too excited,” said Martha Meade, the AAA’s regional public and government affairs manager, because prices will not fall dramatically.
 
The dip in the prices of Gasoline have followed the fall in oil prices. The price of crude oil further declined by an additional $2 today on the New York Mercantile Exchange, falling at $112.79 price range.

The decline in gasoline prices is yet to hit Kailua Kona, Hawaii, which has the highest price of gasoline in the country at $5.11-a-gallon. Drivers in Oklahoma City are paying $3.35 for a-gallon-of-gasoline, which is the lowest price in the country, according to the data compiled by www.GasPriceWatch.com.
