How To Inspect Your New Car Before Delivery
Automotive industry is one of the most blooming industries, where everyday a large number of cars are being sold. With such hustle and bustle of automotive market, there are chances that buyers could face a few problems with their new cars. And if we see, most people are first time buyers, with little or zero experience in auto buying. For these people, it becomes very hard to detect or tell about a problem while buying a new car. Many of them in fact end up buying defective cars, which later pose critical problems. Therefore, in order to ensure a hassle-free car buying process and make sure that the car is free of glitches, it is important to take an inspection before the delivery of the car. Below are a few tips as how to check your new car:
- The most important thing you should do before taking the delivery is to take the car out for a test drive. During the test drive, carefully listen to its sounds or noises, particularly noises that sound unusual.
- Make sure, you take the delivery of your new car during the day. This is because the artificial lights at night can prove to be a hinder to notice scratches or blemishes.
- Carefully give a look at the car’s exterior and interior. Cars often get damaged parts during transportation from warehouse to the showroom. On your inspection, if you find any, get it repaired before the delivery.
- Also check if the car’s doors, hood and the trunk open and close freely. Check the cloth or leather upholstery if there is any strain or any defect.
- Inspect whether spare tire, jack and owner’s manual are all available with the car or not. Also, confirm if all the additional features mentioned while purchasing is available in the car.
- Check whether the title and all the information given in the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on top of the dashboard are same with the information on the dealer’s document.
- Do not forget to get proper instruction on how to operate all controls and car accessories inside the car before delivery.
