Recreational vehicles or RVs are basically intended for leisure activities, such as camping, and vacations. But, today most people are opting for RVs for full time living. People leave their houses and then start to live driving around. The people who live in a recreational vehicle on a full-time basis, are known as fulltimers. Fulltimers basically stay in RV parks or campgrounds, which provide a place to park the vehicles. Such parks also provide facilities for tenting and cabins to stay overnight.

In the United States, most fulltimers are often retired people, and people who frequently move to get a job. This does not mean that others do not like recreational vehicles. Even families love them and enjoy the RV lifestyle, for it gives them freedom of movement, and allows them to travel at a relaxed pace. People also find it economical to travel by a rental RV.
Comfort and freedom of movement are perhaps the most important factors that people often consider while opting for RVs. With RVs, they can go anywhere and any time they want, and most importantly they can sleep every night in their own bed! Families often admit that traveling by RVs make them avoid the stress of crowds at airports, and hotels.

Another popular use of RVs is that they can be rented in various major cities and tourist areas. RVs come in a number of different classes, including Truck Camper, Travel Trailer, Folding Camping Trailer, Fifth Wheel Travel Trailer, Motorhome, Park Model, and Toterhome. All these vehicles are suitable for living, as well as for travel purposes. But, the available facilities differ from model to model. In a base RV, you will find beds, a table, food preparation, as well as storage areas. Larger models add bathrooms, living areas, bedrooms, and even refrigerators. Most expensive ones even come with satellite TV and Internet access.
