Here are a few tips for you, while looking for the right repair shop for your vehicle:

  • Try to find a repair facility before you need one. Therefore, start shopping for it ahead of time.
  • You can also ask your friends for their recommendations or ask them to help you in finding out a good repair shop.
  • The other way you can inquire about the reputation of a repair facility is, by consulting your local consumer organizations. They will tell you about its complaints and the rate of resolution of complaints.
  • Be sure to also check online for any complaints. A Google search of the shops name should find anything that has been posted.
  • Make sure that you look for a neat and well organized facility. It should have a good vehicle parking lot as well as modern equipments in the service bays.
  • Look for a repair facility that has a courteous staff and a service writer who is willing to answer your all questions.
  • Make sure if the repair facility specializes in particular types of repair work.
  • Look for technicians who are qualified. This should be evidenced by trade-school diplomas, certificates of advanced course work or on-going training, and individual technician certification by ASE.
  • Read the policies and look for labor rates, diagnostic fees, guarantees and acceptable methods of payment.
