Difference between MUV and SUV
There has always been a confusion amongst buyers for SUVs and MUVs. Though, both the names sound similar but there are lot of differences between the vehicles.
MUV stands for a multi-utility vehicle that is quite similar in design and shape with a van and is generally employed for personal use. They are taller in comparison with all the sedans, hatchbacks or any station wagon. They are also called minivans that offer more interior space to accommodate more number of passengers in the vehicle.
MUVs are designed to perform well on-road. So, it is not necessary that they might deliver excellent performance off-road as well. They are less sturdy and are designed to offer more comfort to the persons traveling in the vehicle. They offer convenience while traveling long distances.
An SUV is a sports-utility vehicle is quite similar to a light station wagon. They are considered as light trucks in almost all countries. SUV comes with four wheel drive function that makes driving convenient for you. An SUV is a vehicle that is easy to drive both off and on road. It is not necessary that all four-wheel drive vehicles can be called SUV and similarly not all SUVs come with the four-wheel drive system. Since long, the manufacturers have been spreading this message as people get confused between an SUV and a regular four-wheel drive vehicle.
There are many SUVs and MUVs available in the market that are quite popular in terms of usage and performance. Audi Q7, Audi Q5, Volkswagen Torrent, Nissan XTrail, Hummer and Range Rover are a few examples of most popular SUVs. People from all across the globe are using these vehicles as they offer both luxury and safety to them. SUVs actually depict an individual’s class and choice of style.
The most famous MUVs are Toyota Innova, Mahindra Xylo, Toyota Qualis, Tata Sumo and Chevrolet Tavera. These cars come with more interior room that can easily seat 6-8 people. While traveling large distances, people prefer MUVs more as they are very dependable and offer room for more number of people. You can easily go on a picnic to somewhere nearby or some hilly areas, then they certainly are more reliable and preferred than SUVs.
Both SUVs and MUVs are equally good and comfortable vehicles. They are best in their own way. One stands for class and luxury, whereas the other stands for comfort and space. They both certainly offer the best choice of cars that represents the real you.
